I chose Psychology as a nontechnical University elective.
Today I just went into a midterm without having read any chapters once.
I'm pretty sure I got 50% of the test right.
If I got even half of the other 50% right... well there's a mark of 75 right there. On my way out I overheard 2 social science students (who take Psychology compulsively) talking about it being "super, super hard". My insane ego took over and I couldn't help but give a Light Yagami smirk.
Honestly people, the definition a "stereotype" is no big deal compared to Taylor Polynomials.
On a somewhat related note, as a Psych student I have to attain 6 different lab credits. And by "labs" they really mean you act as guinea pigs for various psychological experiments. Being the lazy asshole that I am, I completed as many online ones that I could find before signing up for the ones that require you to move somewhere (i.e. out of my room). Most recently I just completed a completely anonymous one entitled "Online Study of Sexual Satisfaction in Correlation to Orgasm Achievement", and in fine print "Note: Participants are limited to individuals who have been in one more more long-term relationships (no "Hook-ups" or "One night stands"), and who have had sexual intercourse at least once."
I completed it anyway. No particular emphasis on "anyway".
IT'S ANONYMOUS SO IT CAN'T HURT ANYBODY RIGHT?! WHY THEY GOTTA PUT A MAN DOWN, I CAN'T HELP IT IF I'M IN ENGINEERING AND THE ONLY WAY WE CAN HAVE A FORMAL PROM IS TO PAIR UP WITH THE NURSING FACULTY BECAUSE THEIR MALE TO FEMALE RATIO IS RECIPROCAL TO OURS.

College acceptance letters are coming back. Kind of a in a mix of feelings ranging from the sinking "I got accepted but due to certain conditions I might not be able to go" feeling and the shaky "optimism in the face of impending doom" feeling. A weird way to describe it, I know.
Worst case scenario, I end up being forced to go to one of those schools I applied to just to appease my parents but don't really intend to attend (ha ha). OTL Best case scenario, the tables turn in my favor and I get to go where I want. Which is kind of slim right now.
In any case, I'll wait until all the letters come back, and the arrival of my financial aid packages before I make the decision. Urgh... >.<;
Don't worry, soldier on and you'll make it. If you have enough drive to get into post secondary, in the face of the most unlikely chances, it'll happen (even if it was just barely, like me). And don't worry about which schools you end up going to, as long as you get in a program you want you'll still get the same piece of paper when you graduate in the end. Remember at the end of Elementary school when High School was an incredible big deal, and then it turned out mediocre just like the rest of education?
That's what University is going to be like, only now you get the chance to get drunk and possibly arrested without the supervision of your parents. Don't dwell on the negativity, live in the now and fight the power or something to that effect.
